The selection of seedlings for the formation of citrus groves is a determining factor in the useful life of the grove - estimated to be 20 years - and in tree productivity. For this reason Citrosuco has established its own seedling nurseries, which have an excellent infrastructure and modern and rigorous standards of production and quality control.

In the nursery, the seedlings produced are healthy and disease-resistant, due to the strict selection process for the formation of our "seed bank".

The seeds are initially planted in tubes and after about three months they are transplanted into larger containers with a capacity of six liters of substrate. The seedlings remain in this container for another three months, at which time they reach the right moment for grafting.

Around four months later, the seedling is ready for planting and goes through a further stage of quality control before it is finally transported to our farms.
