GOAL 2030

Reduce CO2e¹ emissions in Scopes 1 and 2 by 28%.

Committed to reducing CO² emissions by 28% equivalent in Scopes 1 and 2 by 2030; we have already achieved a 7% reduction in the 2023/2024 harvest.

Our key advances include:

- 100% renewable energy at the Ghent terminal (Belgium) and the Catanduva unit.

- 59% renewable energy in global operations, with continued expansion.

- Prioritization of low-carbon inputs in the production process.

We utilize an advanced automated ESG data collection system, ensuring strategic decisions based on accurate information and efficient monitoring of our decarbonization goals.

GOAL 2030

Structured biodiversity conservation projects for 100% of the hectares designated for environmental protection.

We reached 100% of Citrosuco farms integrated into CitroApis during the 2023/2024 harvest, totaling 25 agricultural units.The program promotes productive coexistence between citrus orchards and beekeeping, benefiting:

• Over 30 beekeepers across 40+ cities (MG and SP);
• R$ 110,000 raised through 2023/2024, boosting family income;
• 10% of proceeds allocated to the ASAS Program for people with disabilities.

Conservation of Green Areas

We manage 19,100 hectares dedicated to the conservation of flora and fauna within the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest biomes. Our proactive approach since 2018 includes:

• Wildlife viewing projects;  
• Preservation of springs, rivers, and lakes;  
• Harmonious coexistence between agricultural production and biodiversity.

We recognize biodiversity as essential to the sustainability of our operations and environmental balance, remaining committed to our 2030 goals.

Manage water resources rationally

Increase water use efficiency in industrial operations by 20% (m³/ton).

Rationalize water abstraction in 100% of critical river basins, contributing to increased water availability for stakeholders.

We achieved a water consumption of 1.69 m³/ton in the 2023/2024 season, marking significant progress since 2022/2023 (2.3 m³/ton → 1.85 m³/ton) through continuous process optimization.

Infrastructure and Technology

• First 400,000 m³ mega-reservoir in operation (2023/2024);
• Four mega-reservoirs approved for areas facing water scarcity;
• Efficient drip systems delivering water and nutrients to the roots;
• Recirculation of over 900,000 m³ in industrial operations using treatment and reuse technology.

With more than 80% of consumption concentrated in irrigation, our commitments include:

• Greater rationality in agricultural water withdrawal through reservoir operations;
• Increased industrial efficiency through monitoring and technology;

In the 2023/2024 season, we maintained operations across all 10 prioritized territories. Over the past three years, we have invested approximately R$ 7 million, directly impacting more than 20,000 families through programs such as:
• PVE (Partnership for Valuing Education);
• Citizenship Program for democratic strengthening;
• Empreende Program for income generation.

Strategy 2030: Pillar Program

Over the next five years, we will focus on raising educational quality through our own initiatives:
• Internal audience: literacy and training for agricultural workers and harvesters
• External audience: improving IDEB scores in priority municipalities

Municipal Development Index (IDM)
In partnership with the Votorantim Institute, we created a tool that consolidates socio-environmental indicators for all Brazilian municipalities, based on four pillars:
• Education;
• Work and Income;
• Health;
• Environment;

The IDM identifies territorial vulnerabilities and guides strategic investments for long-term social transformation, building positive legacies where we operate.

Promoting diversity, quality, and inclusion

Ensure career progression for people with disabilities, guaranteeing learning and growth.

Achieve 30% representation of women and Black individuals in leadership roles by 2030.

We reached 30% representation of women and Black individuals in leadership positions during the 2023/2024 cycle, surpassing our 2030 goal ahead of schedule.

100% sustainable fruit sourcing, including own and third-party fruit.

We reached 77% sustainable fruit sourcing in the 2023/2024 season, making consistent progress toward the goal of 100% by 2030.

• 100% of our 25 company-owned farms are SAI Platform Gold-level certified;
• Annual audits by PwC Netherlands ensuring compliance;
• Full raw material traceability with process transparency.

Trilhar Program – Since 2016
Our sustainability journey is structured around this program, which strengthens supplier relationships and disseminates sustainability best practices.

Sustainable Juice Covenant (SJC)
We have been part of this global pact since 2020 and have served on the Executive Committee since 2022, working alongside other global companies to ensure a 100% sustainable supply chain by 2030.

We will continue to progress through support, coordination, and partnerships to facilitate sustainability certifications for our partner growers.

Social Management and Impact

As leaders in the value chain with an active presence in over 50 territories in Brazil and abroad, Citrosuco prioritizes social and impact investments to foster and develop its stakeholders. We invest in structuring programs on the topics of education, citizenship, public management, and social engagement.

United Nations (UN) Global Compact

The Global Compact is a voluntary initiative that provides guidelines for promoting sustainable growth and citizenship through committed and innovative corporate leadership.

Since 2020, we have been independent signatories to the Global Compact, and our strategy is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Sustainable Juice Covering (SJC)

We have been part of the SJC since 2020, becoming one of the first juice processors in the world to join the pact that reinforces our commitments to a 100% sustainable supply chain by 2030.

Science Based Targets (SBTI)

In 2022, we committed to the SBTi to ensure our actions are backed by this globally recognized, scientifically grounded movement, which features clear goals and indicators. Together, we have a better chance of mitigating the impacts of climate change.
